Getting Cantya running
Three steps, only one of which asks you to think. None of them needs a technical skill.

What to have to hand
The list of your services, your opening hours, and the name you want to hear when the phone is answered. That is all. You need no hardware, no software to install, and you do not have to touch your phone installation to begin.
Set aside twenty quiet minutes for the first step. It is the only one that asks you to think, and it is the one that decides the quality of everything else: Cantya answers with what you told it, not with a generic script.
The three steps
First, you describe your business. Your services, your hours, the way you answer. We start from the template for your trade, already filled in: you correct what does not sound like you rather than writing from a blank page.
Then you set the rules. Who to transfer and when, what to note down, what should never be promised to a caller. You read the greeting back and adjust it until it sounds right.
Finally, you plug in the number. A dedicated number we assign you, or a forward from your current line to it. No code to dial at your end, and free set-up when you configure Cantya yourself.
What can wait
Connecting your calendar, connecting your follow-up tools, the finer transfer rules by time of day: all of that gets added afterwards, without unpicking anything. Cantya already knows how to answer, reply and note a call-back request without any of those connections existing.
The one choice better not put off is the number, because it is the number that decides the day your calls start being taken. The rest settles as you go, by listening to the first calls.
Frequently asked
- How long before it really answers?
- The same day if you take a dedicated number: it is live as soon as it is assigned to you. If you forward your existing line, the wait is your carrier’s, usually a few hours.
- Do I need an engineer or an installer?
- No. There is nothing to install, neither software nor hardware. The whole set-up happens in your browser.
- Can I hear the result before plugging in my line?
- Yes. You can ring your dedicated number yourself and hold a customer’s side of the conversation, as many times as you need, before forwarding anything.
