Slack connector

Every call lands in Slack, summarised, while you get on with your work.

Cantya answers, handles the request, then posts what was said and what is left to do in the channel of your choice. Your team keeps up with the phone without picking it up.

What does Cantya’s Slack connector do?

The Slack connector links Cantya’s AI phone answering to your team’s Slack workspace. After every call, callback request or appointment, Cantya posts a message in the channel you chose: a summary of what was said, the caller’s number, the outcome of the call and a link to listen to the recording.

Without the connector, what was said on the phone stays in the Cantya dashboard, and someone has to remember to go and read it. A callback request can sit there an hour too long.

With it, the information arrives where your team already works. Whoever is free takes over, and the thread under the message keeps track of who handled it.

What goes to Slack

  • The call summaryA summary of a few lines, written by Cantya at the end of the call, quoted at the top of the message.
  • The useful factsThe caller’s number, the outcome of the call and its duration. For a request, what the caller wants and the subject; for an appointment, the date, the type and the reason.
  • A listening linkWhen the call is recorded, a link lets you listen to it for seven days, without signing in to Cantya.

What never leaves

  • The full transcriptIt stays in your Cantya workspace, hosted in the European Union. Slack only receives the summary.
  • The audio fileOnly the listening link is posted. The recording stays with Cantya, and the link expires after seven days.
  • Your other Slack conversationsCantya posts in the channel you named and reads nothing else in your workspace.

Setup

Connecting it takes two minutes.

  1. 01Connect Slack

In your settings, under Integrations, you authorise Cantya on Slack’s own sign-in page. Only the account owner can do this.

  2. 02Write your rule

In Automations, in one sentence: « When a call ends, let the team know on Slack in #reception. » Cantya turns it into a rule, which you check before saving it.

  3. 03Test without sending anything

The Test button shows the message exactly as it will arrive, on a sample call, without posting anything to Slack.

  4. 04Keep an eye on what is sent

The history shows the latest messages sent, and the ones Slack rejected, with the reason.

Worth knowing before you connect

  • One rule per trigger

Call ended, request captured, appointment booked, moved or cancelled: each rule fires on every event of its type. There is no filter by outcome or by time of day yet.

  • You type in the channel

You enter the channel name, for example #reception. If Slack rejects the message, for instance because the channel cannot be found, the failure shows up in the sending history: remember to check it once everything is set up.

  • Messages in French

The summary and the labels are written in French, whatever the language of your Slack workspace.

Frequently asked questions

Page updated on October 6, 2026

Which events can be sent to Slack?
Five: a call ended, a request captured (a callback request, for example), an appointment booked, moved or cancelled. You create one rule per event and per channel, up to twenty rules per account.
Is the call transcript sent to Slack?
No. Only the summary goes, with the number, the outcome and the duration. The full transcript and the audio file stay in your Cantya workspace, hosted in the European Union.
Who can listen to the recording from Slack?
Anyone who can see the message, for seven days, without signing in to Cantya. If your channel is open to people outside the company, pick a channel reserved for the team.
What happens if Slack rejects the message?
A network failure is retried automatically, up to three times. A rejection from Slack, such as a channel that cannot be found, is logged in the sending history with its reason. If the connection to Slack itself is cut off, the account owner is told by e-mail.
Does the message arrive during the call?
Just after. Cantya waits for the call to end to write the summary, then posts the message straight away.
Does the Slack connector cost extra?
No, it is included in every plan at no extra cost. You connect and remove it whenever you like from your settings.
What if my team uses Teams rather than Slack?
Cantya also posts the call summary in a Microsoft Teams channel, in the same way.

Your team keeps up with the phone without picking it up.
